Goofy Dreams & Galaxy Goals: Hollywood Studios Plans

There are two major priorities for our day at Hollywood Studios: meeting Goofy & Max Goof, and doing something Star Wars-related. One is chaos and comedy, and the other is cinematic nostalgia—and both feel like pure Disney magic.
Character Priority: Goofy & Max Goof
Meeting this iconic father-son duo is non-negotiable for us. Goofy is always a favorite, but Max Goof is a rare meet-and-greet and only appears in select places and times. We’re mentally preparing for squeals and maybe chaos if my child runs full-speed into Goofy’s arms. No promises.
Wish List: Lightsaber Build
Savi’s Workshop has been on our Disney wish list since our last trip, when we ended up choosing the Droid Depot experience instead. The droid was fun and all, but there’s just something different about building a lightsaber in the middle of Galaxy’s Edge.
I can’t help but laugh when I picture my son holding a lightsaber, surrounded by all that Star Wars theming. It’s the kind of moment that feels over-the-top in the best way—and I know it’s something he’d remember forever.
Now I just need to do a little research. What lightsaber colors do you actually get to choose from? Would it be better to book early in the day or later, when the park vibes are a little more mellow? And realistically, is my toddler going to try to grab every single part on the table?
We’re not fully locked in yet, but this one’s definitely sitting high on our “if we can swing it” list.
