Hollywood Studios: My Ideal Genie+ & Lightning Lane Gameplan

Hollywood Studios is tricky because it’s so ride-heavy, but here’s how I’d plan it out:

  • Individual Lightning Lane (ILL): Rise of the Resistance

    • Last time, we rope dropped it, waited an hour, and it broke down right after we boarded (thankfully Disney gave us Lightning Lanes to come back later—so grateful for that magic). This time, I’d rather just lock it in with an ILL to avoid the stress.

  • Genie+ priority: Slinky Dog Dash

    • I’ve heard it’s tough to snag, but I’d still try for it here. I’d rather not rope drop it, but if I had to, I would.

  • Back-up Tier 1 pick: Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run

Other Genie+ priorities:

  • Alien Swirling Saucers

  • Toy Story Mania

Rope drop suggestion: Tower of Terror—because lines build fast, and it’s such a classic.

Stacking options (great for when I need a slower moment):

  • Disney Junior Play & Dance

  • Frozen Sing-Along Celebration

  • Star Tours

Overall, Hollywood Studios is where Genie+ really feels like it pays off, especially with the Toy Story Land and headliner rides.
