When it comes to Magic Kingdom, the rides and shows are just as much a part of the experience as the characters. But with so many options — from thrilling coasters to toddler-friendly classics — we had to sit down and figure out what makes sense for our family.

Our priorities are split between the adults (hello, thrills!) and the toddler (hello, spinning rides and magic). Of course, this list is a plan, not a guarantee — things can always change depending on crowds, weather, or toddler moods. But having a starting point makes the day so much easier.

🎢 Adult Priorities (Thrill Seekers at Heart)

When we get the chance to ride big attractions, these are the ones at the top of our list:

  • Haunted Mansion – Spooky, iconic, and one of my all-time Disney favorites.

  • Space Mountain – Classic indoor coaster that’s a must-do at Magic Kingdom.

  • TRON Lightcycle Run – Newer and super high-tech, this one is a huge bucket-list ride for us.

  • Seven Dwarfs Mine Train – A family-friendly coaster that’s just as fun for adults as it is for older kids.

🧸 Toddler Priorities (Magic Through Their Eyes)

The real joy of this trip will be seeing Magic Kingdom through toddler eyes. These are the rides and attractions we’re focusing on for him:

  • Dumbo the Flying Elephant – The ultimate toddler ride (plus the indoor play area while waiting).

  • It’s a Small World – Bright, colorful, and full of music — perfect for little ones.

  • Mad Tea Party – Simple and silly fun.

  • Pirates of the Caribbean – A little darker, but adventurous and fun (we’ll see how he handles it).

  • Prince Charming Regal Carrousel – A must-do classic.

  • The Magic Carpets of Aladdin – Another fun flying ride that toddlers love.

  • The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh – Sweet, gentle, and colorful.

  • Tomorrowland Speedway – A chance for him to “drive” — always a toddler hit.

  • PeopleMover – Calm, relaxing, and perfect for a break.

  • Under the Sea ~ Journey of the Little Mermaid – Whimsical and magical (and mom gets her Ariel moment).

🎉 Shows & Parades

No Magic Kingdom day feels complete without catching the parades and fireworks. These are the ones on our radar:

  • Disney Adventure Friends Cavalcade – A quick burst of fun characters passing by.

  • Festival of Fantasy Parade – The big daytime parade — floats, music, and plenty of Disney magic.

  • Happily Ever After – The nighttime fireworks spectacular. This one gives me chills every time.

Why This List Works for Us

With a mix of thrill rides, toddler-friendly attractions, and magical parades, we’re covering the best of both worlds. We also know flexibility is key — naps, rain, or long lines might mean switching things up. But with these priorities in mind, we can focus on the moments that matter most and not stress about trying to do everything.
