My Must-Have Comfort Hacks for Labor: What Really Helped Me Stay Cool and Calm

Labor is one of those intense, unforgettable experiences where every little bit of comfort helps. Between contractions, the waiting, and the excitement, I quickly learned that having the right tools and tricks made all the difference in how I handled everything. From cooling patches to a simple labor comb, these are the things I used to stay as comfortable and calm as possible — and I’m sharing them here in case they can help you too.


I really didn’t want to deal with a wet rag on my head during labor, so these cooling patches were a total lifesaver. They stayed in place and gave me a consistent cool feeling without any mess. Honestly, having that little bit of relief made a big difference when things got intense.


The hospital plugs felt like they were miles away, which made charging my phone a hassle. Having a portable charger that could power up two devices at once was so convenient. I didn’t have to worry about running out of battery or hunting for outlets.
