As a busy mama, I don’t always have time to head to the salon and sit through a full manicure appointment. Honestly, most days I’m juggling coffee, a toddler, and chaos—so my nails usually don’t get much love. But recently, I decided it was time to treat myself. Enter: Dashing Diva Glaze Nail Strips in the shade Stone Cold.

Why I Tried Them

I’d been seeing these semicured gel strips everywhere and loved the idea of having salon-quality nails without actually stepping foot in a salon. The Stone Cold shade instantly caught my eye—it’s this gorgeous midnight blue with an iridescent shimmer that shifts between blue, green, and purple. Basically, it feels like a galaxy on your nails. ✨

The strips are long-lasting, chip-resistant, and cure under an LED lamp in just 45 seconds. Once cured, they have that shiny, sculpted gel finish that makes you look like you just walked out of the nail bar.

My First Experience (Honest Thoughts)

This was my very first time using them, so I’ll be real with you—I’d give my application a solid B grade. They went on smoothly, but I think I could have trimmed them down better before curing to get that super clean finish. Still, for a first attempt, I’m impressed.

Once they were cured, they looked amazing. I felt so much more put together without ever stepping into a salon. And for me, that’s a big deal. Between errands, school runs, and all the mom-life busyness, I don’t exactly have hours to spend getting pampered.

What I loved most: they gave me that instant mood boost. Good nails = good mood. Dashing Diva really nailed it with that tagline.

How to Apply

It’s seriously straightforward:

  1. Wash your hands and shape your nails.

  2. Push back cuticles and use the prep pad to remove oils.

  3. Choose your strip size, press it on, and trim to fit.

  4. Cure under the LED light for 45 seconds.

  5. File off any excess.

And boom—salon-quality nails at home.

Where to Buy

I grabbed mine at Target (mom life = Target runs are essential 🙌), but you can also find the Stone Cold set on Amazon here.

Final Thoughts

Will I use them again? Absolutely. Next time I’ll take more care trimming before curing, but overall, I love how quick and easy they are. Perfect for busy moms (or anyone, really) who still want to feel polished and put together without dedicating hours to salon visits.

Sometimes, treating yourself doesn’t mean a big spa day—it can be as simple as a fresh set of nails you did at home. 💅✨
