We spent the day at Hersheypark recently, and it was one of those outings that blended a little bit of everything—rollercoasters, toddler rides, water fun, and of course, a stop at Chocolate World.

Testing Out the Coasters
My dad and I kicked things off with Great Bear, a ride I hadn’t been on in years. Honestly, it was a little test to see if we could still handle rollercoasters. Verdict? We can—at least for now! It was such a fun father-daughter moment to share.
Toddler-Friendly Rides Our little guy got to enjoy so many of the rides, and he loved being part of the action:
• Carrousel – a sweet moment with me, my husband, and my parents all riding together.
• Kissing Tower – a calm ride with a view, perfect for all of us to enjoy as a family.
• Mini Himalaya – just me with him, and he loved the little thrills.
• Twin Turnpike Classic Cars – he got to take a ride with me and my parents.
A Big Hit: The Waterpark
The real star of the day for our toddler was the waterpark. Hersheypark has three different toddler-friendly areas, and we tried them all:
• Shoreline Sprayground • Sandcastle Cove • Bayside Pier
He splashed, climbed, and giggled nonstop—it was hands-down his favorite part of the entire day. Meanwhile, my husband and I snuck away for a ride down the Intercoastal Waterway (the lazy river), while my parents watched him.
Nap Time + Chocolate World
After all that water fun, we changed him into dry clothes, and he was out like a light in his stroller. He napped through the afternoon until it was time to head into Chocolate World for a little shopping before wrapping up the day.
Final Thoughts
Our Hersheypark adventure was the perfect mix of thrills for the adults and plenty of fun for our toddler. The waterpark was definitely the biggest hit, but having so many family-friendly ride options made the day easy and enjoyable. We’ll definitely be back—and next time, I might even brave another coaster!
